Following the end of the five-year Talent Match Programme, finishing at the end of 2018, the capacity building funding was granted by the Big Lottery Fund. This is to support employers in Birmingham and Solihull to understand how they can employ and support a different cohort of young people who are further away from the labour market than their counterparts. This cohort may be longer-term unemployed and have identified special needs that may be longer-term, through schools and colleges.
This capacity building project is to widen the scope and range of employers (at least 200 employers) that want to understand this cohort and how to support them through employability.
We require a Training Coordinator to ensure that at least 200 employees across Birmingham and Solihull are identified and contacted, with the view to discussing the benefits of the capacity building programme and gaining their commitment to attend the course. With excellent organisation and communication, the successful candidate will be required to coordinate the workload of up to four trainers, logistics for the training activity and maintain the employer engagement database.
