Key Worker

We are an Independent Charity based in Birmingham and we provide a safe and secure alternative to life on the streets, giving single homeless men aged 25 and over the chance to rebuild their self-confidence and make permanent positive changes to their lifestyle.

We are looking for an experienced Key Worker who can provide support and guidance to the single homeless people as part of their progress towards independence. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with the client and be able to adjust their approach depending upon the client's’ needs. The need to maintain clear professional boundaries and to be consistent with different clients is vital within this role.

You must have a great attitude, clear focus, perseverance and lead by example to support the Organisations Mission, Values and Goals and policy of demonstrating a more excellent way of doing business. You will provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for single homeless men accommodated by the project. You will also carry out needs and risk assessments of clients and ensure that each client is fully supported within their support plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support professional with knowledge and understanding of promoting independent living with homeless people and providing structured support to vulnerable client groups. Ideally, you will have experience in support work, housing, homelessness, family support, casework, outreach work or youth work.
